ABOUT CENTENNIAL TECHNOLOGY

Centennial Technology was established in 2000 in Ansan, Korea as a spinout venture from Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST). The members are scientists and engineers with twenty years of experience in chemistry, biology, oceanography, electronics, and environmental science. We have made utmost effort to be a true leader who embodies the era of on-site and on-line monitoring in the new millennium. Our extensive research and development capabilities will continue to provide customers with new monitoring solutions for lab, process, and field.

Dr. Sung-Hyun Kahng CEO


Sung-Hyun joined Centennial Technology with 35 years of experience in KIOST where he developed online automatic water analyzers as well as constructed real-time marine environmental monitoring systems in South Korea. Sung-Hyun's most recent position was a principal research scientist in KIOST. He has led multiple business development and strategic new product innovation projects related with marine environmental protection. He received his master's and doctoral degrees from Seoul National University, and worked as a visiting scientist at the National Ocean Service of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the United States for two years.


Dr. Eunhee Kim CFO / COO


Eunhee currently serves as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Centennial Technology. She was the former CEO of the company and has over 30 years of experience in the development and commercialization of online automatic analyzers. She has also demonstrated core leadership in engineering, finance, human resources, and general management within the company. Eunhee has master's and doctoral degrees from Seoul National University. She worked as a visiting scholar for 2 years at the University of British Columbia in Canada, where she studied data mining techniques for continuous water quality measurement.


Dr. Jae Ryoung OH Chief Technical Advisor


Jae Ryoung OH is the Chief Technical Adviser of Centennial Technology. Jae has worked on research and international cooperation focused on coastal and marine environmental management for 40 years. He established the Marine Environmental Research Laboratory at KIOST which has expertise in marine pollution (oil, POPs, and EDCs) and the APEC Marine Environmental Training & Education Center (AMETEC) in KIOST. Jae currently serves as the Technical Session Chair of the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA); the National Coordinator of the GEF funded Yellow Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (YSLME) Project; visiting professor of the Department of Marine Environmental Engineering, Gyeongsang National University; and, Adviser of the International Cooperation Department of KIOST. In previous years, Jae served in leading roles for several laboratories including the Library of Marine Samples at KIOST (2012-2014), the Marine Environmental Studies Laboratory of the IAEA in Monaco (2006-2011) and the Marine Environmental Research Laboratory at KIOST (2003-2006). Jae received his Master Degree in Analytical Chemistry from Sogang University, Korea. He earned his PhD in Environmental Dynamics and Management from Hiroshima University, Japan.


Mr. Namsun Kwon Director of Marketing and Sales


Namsun Kwon is the Director of Marketing and Sales for Centennial Technology, working as the direct counterpart to distributors and procurement agencies for the supply of online automatic analyzers, integrated environmental monitoring systems and pollution prevention equipment. He majored in oceanography at Seoul National University and received a master's degree in environmental studies. As the former CEO of Hydronet Co, he was responsible for the sales of Hydrolab's multiparameter probes in Korea. Namsun also developed and commercialized an innovative technology for solidifying dredged materials such as contaminated marine sediments.
